I recently photographed this beautiful home located in the cozy neighborhood of Beau Savanne in Lafayette, Louisiana. It was built by the ever talented Manuel Home Builders and was recently featured in the 2015 Parade of Homes. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I had heartburn the minute I drove up and laid eyes on this wonderful piece of architecture. It was the good kind of heartburn, or I guess it could be bad, because I wanted to move in right then and there. Every room was perfectly staged by Molly Kallenberger and her team at House Dressings. From the living room to the bedroom, they created the coziest of settings! The house also displayed art work from local artist Kelli Kaufman. I'm going to stop now and let the pictures do the talking. Please enjoy the tour :)
Throw back Thursday to this awesome family session a few months ago. Gosh, even looking at these photos are reminding me how much things can change in just a little amount of time. These kids are growing so fast! Already their looks are beginning to change and their personalities are blooming. Hold on to your little ones while you can, because before you know it, they are off to college, then married with kids. Also, take more pictures and vow to actually print them instead of storing them on a flash drive. There is nothing like a memory on display! You will never forget it that way.
We took these family portraits on the front porch of the Rutherfords new home- a log cabin that has been in the family for years. JJ (father) helped his father build it! So, having their photos taken here was both sentimental and appropriate. PJ (big sister) didn't mind showing me a few places she thought best for her photos, while Ranger (ittle brother) was in his own little world. Crystal (momma) did an awesome job pulling the outfits together and getting everyone ready for a smooth sailing shoot. What a great afternoon full of photography and laughs!
